OUR HISTORY

In 1985 David DeWitt Graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor of Science in Education, so it was natural to take that teaching certificate and start a construction company a few years later…..  

DS DeWitt Construction was established in 1988. In the beginning Dave worked solo with a philosophy of doing every project the right way; treating people honestly and at a fair price. Word spread that DS DeWitt Construction was a reliable, honest and quality driven company. As the demand for our services grew, help was needed. Dave learned from earlier construction experience, you get what you pay for, so when hiring employees he compensated the staff well above the local market wages and provided a superior benefit package. This hiring philosophy resulted in employees who care deeply about their projects; instilling a conscientiousness and sense of personal ownership of the project they are building. This sense of ownership is reflected in the quality and high level of customer service we deliver. 

In 2000, the company incorporated, becoming DS DeWitt Construction Incorporated. 2020 begins our 33rd year serving the City of Oxford and surrounding communities. We continue to strive to deliver an exceptional level of personal service our customers have grown to expect. Over the years our business model has remained the same, focusing on residential room additions, kitchen remodeling, basement finishing, and bath remodels; however we also do many decks, window replacements, and door replacements each year. In addition we always have room for handyman work and repair services. Call for an appointment or send us an email! 

The office is typically staffed Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
